Linz im rhythmischen Spiegel seiner Partner- und Freundschaftsstädte / Linz in the rhythmic reflection of its partner and friendship cities

In Linz, seinen Partner- und Freundschaftsstädten wurden zu Fuß gehende EinwohnerInnen vor Ort aufgenommen. Von jeder Stadt ist eine 5-10-minütige audiovisuelle Arbeit entstanden, die die Gangbilder und Gehrhythmen ihrer BewohnerInnen zum Thema hat. Die akustische Partitur generiert sich aus Raum und Ort, Bewegungsströmen und Gangbildern, eingewoben in einen für die Stadt spezifischen ambience-sound, wie das Meeresrauschen oder die Klimaanlagen in Albufeira, das Quietschen der E-bikes in Chengdu, die Glocken der Tempel oder die Algentoaster auf den Märkten in Gwangyang…

Local pedestrians were recorded on site in Linz and in its partner and friendship cities. A 5-10 minute audiovisual work was created for each city on the gaits and walking rhythms of its residents. The acoustic score is generated by space and site, currents of movement and gaits, interwoven in a sound ambiance specific to the city: including the noise of ocean or air conditioners in Albufeira, the squeaking of E-bikes in Chengdu, the temple bells or the seaweed toaster at the markets of Gwangyang…
